The Friction of Forward
Everyone says they want change until change shows up in its realest form:
New.
Hard.
Unfamiliar.
Uncomfortable.
The truth is, most people don’t stay stuck because they’re unclear.
They stay stuck because they know exactly what needs to change and they can’t bring themselves to do it.
I knew California was the move.
Not just physically but energetically.
A whole new ecosystem.
But to step into that, I had to release something good.
Something stable.
Someone familiar.
And that’s where most of us freeze.
Not in failure; in comfort.
Because even when something better is on the other side,
the current thing is known.
Safe.
Predictable.
But I went. Alone.
And that’s where it happened.
I got to rebuild without expectation.
To explore without labels.
To emerge without permission.
